FRCR 2B Revision Resource

The Pass Rate For The FRCR 2B Is Below 50%

The short cases and oral viva are where most candidates struggle. Drawing on years of teaching experience, we have identified the common gaps and built this resource to help you close them.

Short Cases

FRCR 2B Short Cases

Collected from a database of cases built over 15 years and tested on hundreds of candidates – structured to mirror the FRCR 2B exam distribution.

Short Case Packets Packets 1-33

Packets 1-33 mirror the FRCR 2B exam distribution, including plain radiography and approximately 50% chest radiographs. A dedicated 25% of cases are paediatric – matching real exam weighting and covering an area many candidates underestimate.

Abdominal X-ray Practice Packets 34-35

AXR features throughout the FRCR 2B exam but is frequently overlooked during preparation. These packets fill that gap with focused practice across a range of challenging abdominal cases.

Oral Cases

FRCR 2B Oral Cases

Designed to address two common gaps in FRCR 2B preparation — oral presentation technique and revision of speciality topics that candidates do not routinely encounter during day-to-day training — mammography and nuclear medicine. The range of ultrasound cases addresses the challenge of breadth in a topic where exposure during training is variable.
